We recently held our Chance for Charity Raffle and Trivia Night at Ballydoyle Pub in Downers Grove. A fun evening was had by all!
Through the raffle, our members raised over $3500 in net proceeds to be donated to Family Shelter Service.
Way to go, Ladies!
In 2013, DGAN has chosen not to pursue An Affair With Flair. We have decided to focus our efforts on some alternate club fundraising programs at this time.
Thank you to our past Affair with Flair sponsors, artists and vendors for helping us with our event!

What is Newcomers?
- Newcomers is a non-profit women's organization that has been serving Downers Grove and the surrounding areas through its many activities and events for almost 50 years.
- Join us and find out! Our members have found fun and friendship and have pursued new interests and talents through our club. We have a full social calendar of unique and interesting events and we make it possible for you to enjoy making new friends in the process!
- We offer lots of opportunities to get involved through Newcomers via social events and community outreach with local charities. This can include participation in one of our regular monthly activities or other special events, volunteering to lead or serve on a committee, or helping the community through one of our fundraisers.
- We are a fun group of over 100 women living in Downers Grove and the surrounding area.
- Members are new and longtime residents, professional women, stay at home/work at home moms, single & married women.
- We enjoy the opportunity to meet and get to know other women in the area through social activities and fundraising events for local charitable organizations.
- Members reside in Downers Grove, Lombard, Woodridge, Oakbrook, Darien, Westmont, Lisle, and Clarendon Hills.
